I'm currently serving as Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bonn working with the Center for Science and Thought on the project titled Desirable Digitalisation: Rethinking AI for Just and Sustainable Futures. I am also an Associate Fellow at the Academy of International Affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia, where I received generous support for my project Global Planning for Post-Detection.  Additionally, I am co-editor of  the journal 1000-Word Philosophy, a member of the UK SETI Research Network's SETI Post-Detection Hub, and a Science Advisory Board member and Affiliate of the SETI Institute. My current research takes place at the intersection of science, technology, and values, with special attention to issues AI ethics, the ethics of space exploration, and environmental ethics, as well as work in feminist philosophy, global and intergenerational ethics, and public philosophy.  In my free time, I co-host a podcast about storytellers, story lovers, and philosophy.
