A really great and diverse conference hosted by our own Desirable AI project here at the University of Bonn. Lots of great speakers and artists sharing their work. I spoke on Technosignatures as Pollution: Dominance, Irrationality, and Unsustainable Technology.

A really great trip to the SETI Institute and surrounding area to serve on the Science Advisory Board, attend the Drake Awards, and hang out with friends, Fellows, and my fellow leader of the Discovery & Futures Lab. Big congrats to Lori Marino for her well-earned award and vital research here on Earth!
It's official! The press release has gone live, and the Discovery & Futures Lab at the SETI Institute has launched! I am honored to serve alongside Dr. Lucian Walkowicz as co-Director of this exciting new initiative that bridges the natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities to address the questions that attend the entire process of discoveries of life beyond Earth
The 2nd Earth-Space Sustainability Conference in Leiden was fantastic. I presented on Sustainability Puzzles and the Extraterrestrial Turn, and I also served on a panel for Starlight as Nature Photo credit: © Barbra Verbij
Not only did I have a great time presenting at and attending the Democratisation of Space Conference in Norrköping, Sweden, but the organizers also facilitated a beautiful and bespoke 3D planetarium experience for the participants. Spectacular!

As always, the folks at the PSETI Center put on an excellent symposium (and were wonderfully supportive of hybrid sessions!). I was fortunate enough not only to give a plenary talk on Sustainability Puzzles and the Extraterrestrial Turn, but also to contribute to an exciting and interactive breakout session on post-detection, as well as a panel on feminist ethics of outer space.
